tructural Engineer | 3–5+ Years | Brisbane

Ready to be noticed for what you can do, not how long you’ve been doing it?

I speak with a lot of structural engineers at the three-to-five-year mark. The good ones tend to tell me the same thing: they’re doing more than their title says, and they’re not sure anyone’s noticed.
This team notices.

About the Business
Our client is a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, and it’s employee-owned. That matters more than it sounds. The people around you have a stake in the business, so they care about the work, about each other, and about making decisions that are right for the team, not just the bottom line. Opportunities go to the people ready to take them.

Their Brisbane structural team is respected, busy and well led. They’re now adding at mid level to balance the team, which means there’s room for someone at this level to step up and make their mark.

Why this one is worth a conversation
  • Ambition is rewarded. People who put their hand up do well here and get ahead faster. You’ll be given opportunities beyond your years if you show you’re ready.
  • You’ll get variety and keep growing. You’ll work on industrial, social housing and mid-sized buildings, plus big-ticket work like sports facilities and hospitals. You’ll keep developing your design skills rather than repeating one project type.
  • You’ll own real work. You’ll take on real responsibility for your designs and your part of each project, with support from experienced engineers when you need it.
  • People here have a stake in each other. Employee ownership means the business has a genuine interest in seeing you grow.
The Role
  • Structural analysis and design of buildings in reinforced concrete and steel
  • Working across a mix of industrial, commercial, residential, social housing, health and sports projects
  • Preparing calculations, sketches and design documentation, and working closely with drafters
  • Coordinating with architects, other disciplines and clients
  • Site inspections and construction-phase support
  • Building your RPEQ pathway with support from senior engineers
About You
  • Degree-qualified Structural or Civil Engineer
  • 3+ years’ post-graduate experience in structural design of buildings in Australian or comparable consulting environments
  • Solid RC and steel design experience, working to Australian Standards
  • Comfortable with structural analysis software (e.g. Space Gass, RAPT, ETABS or similar)
  • RPEQ, or working towards it
  • Driven and curious, wanting your work to be recognised and your career to move
What’s on Offer
  • A competitive salary matched to experience
  • A clear path to progress, without waiting for the calendar
  • Exposure to a broad range of building projects, from everyday to landmark
  • An employee-owned business where people care about the outcome
  • Flexibility and a supportive, collaborative team
