Simone has been recruiting within the engineering sector for 25 years. Qualified in Human Resources, she spent two years in HR within the public sector before beginning her recruitment career with Hays (Montrose) in Brisbane in 1999. She was the first female Aussie recruited to the Construction & Property team in the country.
Simone completed a comprehensive on the job recruitment traineeship, and learned all she could about civil engineering, immersing herself in the market for long hours every day, for years. She progressed up the career ladder, trained other consultants and managed teams. She was regularly featured at the top of the National leaderboard for income for the company, but without question it was the relationships she built with both clients and candidates that drove her.
Simone and Mahlah established RecruitR in 2007, where Simone has continued to strengthen her industry knowledge and impressive network across the civil and structural sector. Simone is a highly regarded expert in her field, and is proud to be known as one of the best people to provide an accurate and thorough assessment of what’s happening in the market.
Her client relationships have broadened over the years to include environmental engineering, planning, and client-side project management.
