Senior Hydraulic Engineer, Project Leader, Brisbane

Lead projects. Own the technical delivery. Work on Brisbane’s Olympic Stadium.

Our client has secured a key role delivering mechanical and hydraulics on the Brisbane Olympic Stadium—one of the most high-profile projects in the country.

They’re now looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer (Public Health) who wants to step into true technical ownership across projects, not just coordination or partial design.

The role You’ll be responsible for the technical delivery of hydraulic projects, working both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.

You’ll:

• Design and document hydraulic systems across all stages
• Lead technical outcomes from concept through to construction
• Review contractor submissions and construction quality
• Ensure internal quality systems are implemented and maintained
• Engage directly with clients and key stakeholders
• Attend site meetings and report on progress and risks
• Identify and drive improvements in delivery and capability

This is a hands-on technical leadership role—ideal for someone who enjoys both design and accountability.

What you’ll bring

• 7–10+ years’ experience in hydraulic building services
• Ideally QBCC or RPEQ (or close to achieving)
• Proven local QLD experience delivering projects across the full lifecycle
• Strong technical capability across:
  • Water supply
  • Sanitary plumbing & drainage
  • Stormwater
  • Hot water & gas
  • Rainwater reuse & trade waste
• Solid understanding of:
  • AS/NZS 3500
  • NCC / BCA / PCA
  • Local authority requirements in QLD
