Over the past 6 months, their national VDC division has gone through a major growth phase, building a 60-strong team of specialists who are passionate about shaping the future of BIM technology in Australia.
With continued investment and a strong pipeline ahead, they are positioning themselves as true market leaders in digital engineering.
Reporting directly to the State VDC Manager, they are now seeking a Lead Project Draftsperson to join their Victorian team, office based in the South East suburbs.
The Role This is a key position responsible for coordinating and delivering Mechanical Services drafting across major projects. You will lead the development of information-rich BIM models and ensure project deliverables align with BIM Execution Plans and national standards.
You will play an important role in supporting the company’s VDC vision, helping to streamline the creation of high-quality BIM content across projects and contributing to a consistent national approach that enhances project delivery and client outcomes.
You’ll be part of a fully integrated national team of 60+ professionals delivering BIM, shop drawing and BIM-to-Field services across multiple states.

What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years’ drafting experience producing detailed technical drawings and plans
- Experience in Building Services, Mechanical Services or Air Conditioning projects
- HVAC contracting background highly regarded
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation practices
- Advanced BIM capability, with expert knowledge of Revit and Navisworks Manage
- Solid knowledge of Australian codes and standards
- Certificate IV in Drafting (Air Conditioning & Mechanical Services) or equivalent industry experience
- Leadership capability with the ability to mentor, guide and support team members
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify design risks, variations and improvement opportunities
