Contract Administrator / Estimator – Hydraulic / Building Services

This is an opportunity to join a privately owned Tier 2 hydraulic contractor operating at a Tier 1 level, delivering major D&C Hydraulic Building Services projects across SEQ.

With a strong pipeline of work, repeat Tier 1 builder relationships and approved involvement in government and Olympic-related project delivery, this company has built a reputation over 25+ years for delivering practical, commercially successful projects across the Queensland market.

The business is led by hands-on directors who remain heavily involved in both delivery and client relationships. Around them is a busy, close-knit team covering design, modelling, estimating and project delivery.

They are now looking for an additional Contract Administrator / Estimator to join the team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys the commercial side of construction and wants to be part of a business where they can grow long term.

The ideal person may already have:

• Contract Administration or Estimating experience within hydraulic, mechanical, electrical or another building services discipline

• Local construction industry experience within the SEQ market

• Experience working for a contractor or subcontractor environment

• An engineering background that has naturally progressed into estimating/commercial/project support

The company is also open to candidates coming from broader construction backgrounds who have strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.

The Role You will work closely with the directors and project teams across estimating, procurement and contract administration functions on a range of commercial construction projects.

Projects include:

• High-rise residential
• Shopping centres
• Health projects including major mental health facilities
• Large-scale government and corrections projects
• Major D&C developments with nationally recognised Tier 1 builders
• Approved delivery partner for government and Olympic-related project work through long-standing relationships with key Tier 1 construction groups
• Future Olympic and large-scale infrastructure pipeline projects across SEQ

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with estimating and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Procurement and subcontractor coordination
• Contract administration and project support
• Managing variations and cost tracking
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and builders
• Supporting project delivery teams throughout construction
• General commercial/project coordination responsibilities

Skills & Experience

• Contract Administration and/or Estimating experience preferred
• Building services or construction industry exposure highly regarded
• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Strong computer and documentation skills
• Local SEQ market experience preferred
