This is a senior position within an award-winning structural engineering practice on the Tweed Coast. As second in charge to the Director, you'll play a leading role in the studio — technically and culturally. The work is complex, considered, and consistently recognised at regional, state, and national level. About the practice
This boutique consultancy has built a reputation that belies its size. With two coastal offices and a team of ten, they work with Australia's leading residential architects to bring ambitious, architecturally significant homes to life — around 200 projects a year, from Ballina to Brisbane.
In recent years their clients' projects have been recognised at regional, state and national AIA level, and featured on Grand Designs Australia. This is not a practice that blends into the background.

What you'll be doing
You'll take senior ownership of structural engineering delivery across a portfolio of high-end residential projects — primarily large, architecturally complex homes in concrete and other premium materials. Day to day that means:
- Leading structural design and documentation on landmark residential projects
- Collaborating directly with leading architects and builders to find elegant, buildable solutions
- Providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the team
- Contributing to a studio culture defined by quality, craft, and continuous improvement
- Signing off on your own work with confidence and authority
You're a senior structural engineer with strong experience in concrete and high-end residential architecture. You understand what it means to work at the intersection of engineering and design — and you take pride in getting that balance right.
You're ready to sign off independently, and you bring the experience to back it. RPEQ or equivalent registration is expected at this level.
