Well, for starters, you’ll be locked in for at least 6 months working on secondment contributing to projects that maintain the rail network throughout the state. There is also a high probability of several contract extensions, giving you a level of security and the ability to plan. And you’ll have guaranteed hours, weekly pay and an easy-going environment. Sounds like the perfect way to kick start 2025, while you wait for the big infrastructure projects to start to kick off.

What you’ll will be working on
  
You’ll lead projects focussed on drainage design and flood assessments as part of the civil infrastructure team. You’ll develop and review designs, liaise with stakeholders and prepare and present recommendations to mitigate risks to the rail infrastructure.
  
What type of person will be successful
  
We are looking for a qualified RPEQ Civil Engineer with extensive experience in general civil engineering, and a design background in earthworks, drainage and/or flooding. Previous experience within railway projects would be great, however civil engineers with a background in mining, roading or urban projects will be equally able to thrive in this contract.
