Queensland recruitment start-up scores double win at national awards

Specialist recruitment firm RecruitR has been recognised by its peers as a national leader in candidate management winning the Best Candidate Management and Best Start Up categories of the national Recruitment Excellence Awards held at a black tie dinner at Sydney's Darling Harbour on Friday 24 October.

Specialising in providing recruitment services to the highly technical mining, construction and engineering industries, Brisbane-based RecruitR has over the last grown rapidly over the past two years, from a two staff start up to a flourishing multi-million dollar per annum turnover operation.

It was with big goals and big success in mind that 30-somethings Clinton Moore, Simone Moore and Mahlah Ludekens quit their lucrative corporate positions to start their own recruitment business, RecruitR.

The dynamic young directors have backed up their ambitious goals with a sophisticated five-year strategic expansion plan, developed with the assistance of their business advisors.

Director Simone Moore said establishing clear objectives had helped RecruitR stay on track throughout the company's most recent period of expansion, including a major re-branding program and their move to an entire floor of a new CBD high rise.

"We realised when we started RecruitR that there was a very real demand and therefore, opportunity, for a recruitment company that could deliver recruitment services at a level higher than the industry norm," Ms Moore said.

"Since we commenced operating we have won multiple Preferred Supplier contracts with a number of major companies based on our proven ability to intimately understand our clients' needs, and to consistently present to them the kind of high-quality candidates other recruitment firms have been unable to match," she said.

Director Clinton Moore accepted RecruitR's awards on behalf of the RecruitR team at the Sydney event on Friday night, thanking his fellow directors and RecruitR's staff for their efforts in building the RecruitR business.

"We will continue building RecruitR's reputation on the strength of our focused and personal communications process that ensures the candidates we represent have the opportunity to be placed in the best possible roles, that suit their needs and career aspirations," Mr Moore said.

"It is a team effort and each of us has the mindset and acumen required to treat each candidate on an individual basis, ensuring we match them with the right client, project, and corporate culture.

"For our candidates, this means creating a refreshing, honest and genuine experience, where new opportunities are unearthed and created," he said.

Fellow director, Mahlah Ludekens said the team was especially proud of their win in light of the highly competitive nature of the recruitment industry.

"To be named Best Start Up business in Australia is a huge thrill because the award judges analysed the business plan, structure and operational aspects of recently launched businesses, examining closely how our goals have been implemented and how our business model flows," Ms Ludekens said.

"The award reinforces our initial goals for our company's training and mentoring programs to ensure that all of RecruitR's clients and candidates receive the same quality of experience from every one of our people," she said.
