BRISBANE, 3 September, 2008: Dynamic Brisbane-based start-up, RecruitR has been named as one of Australia's favourite recruiters for 2008, after yesterday being announced as a national finalist in the hotly-contested Seek Annual Recruitment Awards (SARAs).

The news came late Monday afternoon as awards organisers, Seek.com.au, revealed who the most popular recruitment firms across Australia were for 2008, as voted by Australian job seekers and employers.

RecruitR was announced as one of four finalists in the category of Small Specialist Recruiter, and one of 32 recruitment firms named overall-it is the company's first nomination in the SARAs.

The announcement coincides with the second birthday of the fast growth enterprise, which has also recently moved to their architect designed, state-of-the-art premises in Ann Street in Brisbane's CBD.
RecruitR co-founder and Director, Simone Moore, said the RecruitR team was thrilled to be selected as finalists in the prestigious awards, less than two years after the company began trading.

"The SARAs are based on a popular voting system that means employers and job seekers have to nominate your business for an award-it's recognised within the industry as being a true reflection of what job seekers really think about you," Simone said.

"Considering we're still carrying 'new kid on the block status' it's incredibly humbling to have been voted one of the top four small specialist recruiters in Australia.

"We're taking it as a vote of confidence from our customers that we're on the right track, and we thank them for so kindly showing their support," she said.

RecruitR must now wait until Friday 19th September to find out if they are Australia's favourite Small Specialist Recruiter, when the winners of each category will be announced at an invitation-only cocktail ceremony held in Sydney.

Director Mahlah Ludekens said, "We'd love to win of course, but to be named a finalist is extremely gratifying in and of itself."

"The nomination is testament to our team's hard work, determination and ongoing commitment to making the RecruitR dream a reality and for that we are extremely thankful for and proud of everything they have managed to achieve," she said.

The SARAs are the recruitment industry's premier people's choice awards, currently in its sixth year. Job seekers vote online for their favourite recruitment firms with winners and finalists in each category selected based on the number of votes they receive. Categories for 2008 are Generalist Recruiter, Executive Recruiter, IT Recruiter, and Specialist Recruiter, with subcategories for Small, Medium and Large firms within each area of specialty.

RecruitR (www.recruitr.com.au) is one of Australia's newest and most innovative specialist recruitment firms, providing recruitment services to employers and job seekers working in the national and international mining, oil and gas, construction, architecture, and engineering industries. Founded in 2006 by Clinton Moore, Mahlah Ludekens, and Simone Moore, the Brisbane-based firm has already won numerous preferred supplier contracts with some of the largest and most respected specialist industry employers in the world. Directors Mahlah and Simone were recently recognised for their achievements as finalists in the Professional Services category of the2008 QBR Women in Business Awards.
